How Would YOU Like It?

NOTE: This is one of a continuing series of blogs on the current situation in our West Chester, Ohio parish.

NOTHING IS dearer to you than your family — your husband or your wife, your mom and dad, your kids, your brothers and sisters.

Sure, they’re far from perfect. You know their good points and their bad points, their strengths and their weaknesses, their virtues and their vices. They fight and make up, they’re petty and they’re generous, they’re spiteful and they’re kind.

But all this is the family’s business, and no one else’s, because God ordered the family as a compact little unit of its own.

How about putting a family on trial on the Internet?

How about doing it to your family?

Attacking you, the father, for the way you run your family? Publicizing disputes between you, the parents, and your adult child? Publicly cataloguing misbehavior and sins (real or imagined) of your kids? And all on an Internet forum, as a topic for public discussion and comment?

One man has made a sick hobby of conducting a campaign like this against a family in our parish.

And Bernard Hall (a former SGG parishioner) helped him, met with him, and fed him information to attack this family.

They had once considered Mr. Hall a great friend. He spent all the great holidays with them, and was much liked by the kids. But he interfered in an internal family dispute that was none of his business, and turned on them,

Mr. Hall is now running the Wingate mission for Fr. Ramolla, and uses one of the mission’s web sites to attack this family. All this Mr. Hall does anonymously, and under the guise of exposing “child abuse.”

How about “family abuse”?

So, if you see the jolly Mr. Hall at the Wingate this Sunday, remember how he helped crucify a good Catholic family on the Internet.

What if it had been your own family?
